Position appointment description:

Membership is comprised of eight faculty members: two
faculty from each community college. The committee
members from Alamogordo, Carlsbad and Dona Ana must be
the sitting faculty senators, as well as Grants’ faculty senator
and an additional elected tenure-track faculty member from
the Grants campus. The chair will rotate as follows:
Alamogordo, Carlsbad, Dona Ana, Grants. The executive vice
president and provost is an ex officio member of the
Community College Faculty Council.

What are the terms of appointment:

Annual appointmen / reappointment based on election of faculty senators (senators typically serve staggered, 3 year terms in the Senate.)

Purpose:

The purpose of the Community College Faculty Council is to
provide a forum for communication among the faculties of the
four NMSU community colleges and with the executive vice
president and provost.

Please explain why the requirement for the numbers of meetings was not met: 

This group is traditionally convened fist at the Community College Roundup, which was canceled in 2017. 

What are the requirements for the number of meetings to be held annually? None specified in policy 1.05.96, however, this group traditionally (in the old version--prior to revision and
reorganization) once per semester.
