Position appointment description:
HLC Accreditation Liasion Officer from each independtly accredited system campus (Alamogordo, Carlsbad, Dona Ana, Las Cruces), and representative from the Grants campus.
Requirements for number of annual meetings: 2
Major Accomplishments:
Established a working website and collaborative shared workspace in Office 365.
Reorganized to distinguish HLC ALO work apart from college and department ALO positions/work.
Drafted a plan for collaborative approach to ongoing accreditation processes that increase efficiencies and reduce redundancies across system campuses.

Purpose:
The purpose of the ALO Council is to facilitate communication, coordination and collaboration across allNMSU system campuses regarding regional accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) andspecialized/professional accreditation of academic and student service units.
Authority:
The ALO Council serves in an advisory role to the Executive Director of Accreditation and the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost.
Major Accomplishments:
Development of a Living Assurance Argument.
Shared resource documents and practices for HLC accreditation.
Facilitated a system-wide Institutional Research team to attend a 3-day workshop to develop shared code for running credit hour report for HLC accreditation, and identify a system shared mission and purpose for Institutional Research offices.
